New Public Health Measures Effective 12.01, Friday 29 April 2022

There will no longer be a mask mandate to enter the facility and we can all smile to that.

With the easing of restrictions, we still need to maintain our 1.5m distance, stay home if we’re sick and practice good hygiene so we can keep doing the things we love together.

Yes, vaccine mandates are gone too. That means there will no longer be a mandate to have a COVID-19 vaccine to enter and use any service in the facility.

Mask and vaccine removal may be a relief for some, but unsettling for others. Let’s all be kind to each other as we navigate through these changes.

Stay safe everyone and see you soon.

As per the WA government’s announcement, from Monday 31 January 2022 it is mandatory for all persons 16 years and over to provide proof of vaccination before entering gyms, fitness studios and to dine in at a cafe.

We acknowledge that this mandate can evoke strong emotions and opinions within our community. We ask and hope that everyone will respect each other and the Swan Active team while we implement and adapt to these changes.

Proof of vaccination mandate applies to anyone 16 years and over utilising

  • Fitness Classes
  • Café (excluding takeaway)
  • Gym

Proof of vaccination is only required to use the above mentioned areas. If you are using any other area of Swan Active you will not be required to show proof of vaccination.

How to provide proof of vaccination?

We recommend the new ServiceWA app.

We acknowledge it does take time to set up however it’s the most efficient way to enter businesses with the double vaccination mandate.

Our Libraries team can help you set up the ServiceWA app, so please come in so the team can give you a hand.

Other ways to show proof of vaccination

You can continue to sign in with SafeWA app or manual register, however, you will also need provide a COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history along with photo ID.

Member Information

As a member you will only need to provide proof of vaccination once. After this initial viewing you can continue to enter Swan Active as per normal with your membership card.

What happens if I don’t show my vaccination status prior to January 31?

Your membership will continue, you will just need to check in at reception on your next visit. Your membership swipe, and online booking capability will be disabled until you show your vaccination status to a staff member.

What if I do not want to show my vaccination status?

We understand some members of our community have made the choice to not share their vaccination status. Unfortunately these members will not have access to the gym, fitness classes or dine in at the cafe. If you can no longer use your membership due to your vaccination status you can choose to suspend or cancel your membership.
