Description

The $30 Your Active Start promotion will launch at Swan Active Ballajura, Beechboro and Midland, offering eligible participants:

  • a $30 first‑month membership; and
  • automatic entry into the Your Active Start Giveaway prize draw for all new members aged 18 years and over.

All participants must read and accept the City of Swan’s Your Active Start and Competition terms and conditions to be eligible.

Your Active Start terms and conditions

Promotion: This promotion entitles eligible new members to receive the first month of the membership of their choice for $30.
Promotion Period: 1 September 2026 – 4 October 2026

Terms & Conditions

  1. The Promotion applies to new Swan Active memberships only.
  2. A new member is defined as an individual without a current Swan Active membership at the time of joining.
  3. The Promotion entitles eligible new members to one (1) month of access to their chosen Swan Active membership for $30 during the Promotion Period.
  4. One month refers to a membership period running from the anniversary of the membership start date to the same date in the subsequent month.
  5. Reformer Pilates is excluded from the Promotion and must be purchased separately.
  6. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  7. Each eligible new member is entitled to one (1) $30 Your Active Start Promotion only.
  8. The $30 Your Active Start membership allows access to all Swan Active sites, subject to operating hours, facility availability, and standard conditions of entry.
  9. The $30 Your Active Start membership is not transferable, must be used by the named member only, and must be used in the first month.
  10. Members must be 16 years of age or older. Members under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian present at the time of joining to co‑sign the membership form.
  11. To be eligible for the Promotion, all new members must complete a membership form.
  12. Where a member joins in person using a physical membership form, the $30 promotional fee will be direct debited from the member’s nominated account in accordance with the direct debit process outlined in the Swan Active Membership Terms & Conditions.
  13. Where a member joins online or in person using a paperless form, the $30 promotional fee will be charged immediately to the nominated credit or debit card.
  14. During the Promotion Period, where an existing Swan Active member refers a friend who signs up to an ongoing Swan Active membership, both the referring member and the new member will be entitled to receive their fifth month of membership free, provided that both members maintain an active, paid membership through to the conclusion of their four‑month membership anniversary.
  15. By accepting this Promotion, members acknowledge and agree that the membership will continue until the expiry date of a fixed-term membership, or until an ongoing membership is terminated by either the member or Swan Active.
  16. Any cancellation requested within the first month must be processed in person at a Swan Active centre.
  17. If a cancellation is requested during the first month, the standard cancellation policy does not apply, and the membership may be cancelled up to the day before the next scheduled debit.
  18. At the conclusion of the first month, standard membership fees, billing cycles, and Terms and Conditions will apply from month two onward.
  19. These Terms and Conditions operate in conjunction with the Swan Active Membership Terms and Conditions.

Competition terms and conditions

Details of Win: Entry into this Competition places you in the draw to win one of the prizes specified below.

Weekly prize

  • $50 Bunnings voucher; or
  • $40 Varsity voucher

Final Prize

  • One month’s free membership at each Swan Active centre

Eligibility: To be eligible for this Competition you must be a Swan Active member over the age of 18 years. City of Swan councillors and staff are not eligible for this Competition.
Method of entry: To enter this Competition new members must sign up for a membership during the Competition Period.
Maximum number of entries: One entry per person.
Notification of Winners: Competition winners will be notified via phone and email, no later than 7 October 2026.
Promoter: City of Swan (ABN 21 086 180 442) of 2 Midland Square, Midland Western Australia 6056.
Selecting the winners: For the weekly prize, winners will be randomly selected via an automated lottery system each week of the Competition Period. The winner of the final prize will be randomly selected at the end of the Competition Period. A photo opportunity will be arranged with each winner and their prize.

Terms & Conditions of entry

  1. The Competition will be conducted during the Competition Period by the Promoter.
  2. The prize draw will take place weekly during the Competition Period.
  3. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  4. The Competition winners will be notified by the Promoter.
  5. The entrants must submit entries by 4 October 2026, 11:59pm during the Competition Period to enter the Competition. Failure to do so will result in an invalid entry.
  6. The Promoter will not advise an entrant if their entry is deemed invalid.
  7. The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.
  8. Only one entry per participant is accepted. Duplicate entries will be disqualified.
  9. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted, illegible or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to omission, error, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, disruption to any communication network or medium, or otherwise including those entries not received by the Promoter for any reason.
  10. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. No correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility where it is unable to contact competition winners who have not provided correct or complete contact details. If an entrant’s contact details change, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter.
  12. A request to modify any entry information should be directed to the Promoter.
  13. If the selected winner does not claim their prize within seven (7) days of notification, the Promoter will do a prize redraw.
  14. All entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter will not have any liability to any of the entrants for any loss or damage suffered or arising from the Competition, which is indirect or consequential in nature, including without limitation any loss of profit, loss of reputation, loss of goodwill, or loss of business opportunity.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any time due to any circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter.
  16. Use of an entrants’ personal information is governed by the City of Swan’s Privacy Policy available at www.swan.wa.gov.au.
  17. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram may be used to advertise or promote the Competition. By entering the Competition, entrants agree that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, YouTube, Instagram; Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Competition should be directed to the Promoter and not Facebook, YouTube, Instagram.
  18. If for any reason any aspect of the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify the Competition.
  19. The prize draw will be final and will not be subject to any rights of appeal.
